Afternoon at Te Papa

Walk up Cannon Point

Hamish, Harri and Allan made the 10km round trip from Birchville Reservoir today in windy conditions with broken sun.

The old reservoir used to be Upper Hutt's water supply but is now not used. Very scenic though.

The 10km was completed in a little under 4 hours (2.5km per hour).
The highest point is 345m at the trig station.

New Tent

The Mantis II by Australian company Black Wolf. Lightweight at 2.3kg and cheap at $280. (Equivalent tent at Kathmaudu = $840)
