It started yesterday about 4pm. Large soft flakes fluttering down.
By dark there was a good covering.
This morning we woke to a wonderland.
However, not everyone made it through.
Managed to get a quick drive through the valley before school.
Chaos on the hill road before they closed it.
Sunshine through the middle of the day. 4x4 only on the hill road.
But at about 2pm today a huge snow fall closed the road within minutes. I picked the kids up from school early and made a run at it. On the last corner before the top we got stuck, along with a few others. The community turned out in big 4x4's and tractors and before long everyone was home safe.

WOW thats amazing, in a few hours that much snow, looks very cool (no pun intended) hope you guys have loads of firewood and food to last you through the closure. take care up there. C
